Ky-Mani
Ky-Mani Marley was a popular Reggae Singer for many years. Born in Falmouth Jamaica, he was one of the wealthiest and most popular. He sang in Shottas along with another artist Wyclef. Ky-Mani was signed by Shang Records in 1996 where he released his first album like Father Like Son. He also recorded several singles, such as Judge Not with Patra as well as Dear Dad (which reached the top of the British Reggae Charts) and How Does The Cap Go Remix and Sensimelia. All of them helped contribute to Ky's growing popularity among the younger generation of reggae singers. Ky-Mani performed with Praswell from Fugees for Avenue in 1997. It was a hugely successful cover of Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley first appeared on stage in Miami in the Midem Theatre. Midem. Marley presented a show in the Cameo Theatre which was live broadcast to other 36 nations. Marley found himself engaged in a bidding war. He was signed to Gee Street/V2 Records in 1997.
