Morgan appeared in a film that was about AIDS education and prevention, Safe Sex for Men and Women. Proceeds from the video was donated to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She serves as a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan is the leader of numerous other fundraising initiatives for the cause and she also testified in front of a specific Congressional committee on AIDS education. She is on the board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop's previous assistant surgeon general asked occasionally to be his substitute during AIDS awareness activities. She also was host of an AIDS Awareness Special with Steve Bell. Ted Koppell has interviewed her twice about AIDS on Nightline. Morgan was nominated for the Emmys for Diane English's Murphy Brown special written especially for Morgan. This spring, Morgan costarred with Joan Rivers as Your Money or Your Wife on ABC TV. Summer began in the form of Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. Marla Gibbs and Cindy Williams as well appeared. Morgan's next production sent her to Luxembourg for Harmony Gold's production of Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan also starred exclusively in the psychological thriller of USA Network that earned some of most impressive ratings the network has ever recorded.
